The sea has always been something that draws me when I feel the loss of a loved one. Somehow just being near it brings me closer to them.

A quiet, contemplative walk and skimming a few stones allows me to collect my feelings and release them into the ocean.  I embrace the vastness of open space, the depth of the sea in front of me and the expansion of the universe, my awareness of the sky above our heads, and that is enough.

It is a place to breathe.
