1. Introduction
Before making a booking on this website, please read these booking terms carefully – they contain important information about your rights and obligations. When you make a booking with us on this site, these booking terms are deemed to be accepted by you.
These terms govern use of sineadsmyth.com and all bookings for classes run by Sinéad Smyth. By using the website or booking a class, you accept these terms.
2. Classes
Places on a class are allocated first-come, first-served once full payment is received. Payment is made online. We reserve the right to substitute instructors or adjust the timing or content of a class. Participants must follow all site regulations and any dress code. We do not accept enrolments from anyone under 18 years of age. A materials list is provided in advance.
3. Cancelling your booking
If you cancel more than 14 days before the class, you’ll receive a refund (minus Stripe processing fees, which are not refunded to us) or a transfer to another date. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable. You may send a substitute in your place with at least 24 hours’ notice. If illness prevents you from attending, we may, at our discretion, make an exception to this policy – supporting documentation may be requested.
4. Cancellation by us
We may cancel a class, offering a refund, transfer, or voucher of equal value. A class may be cancelled if there isn’t enough enrollment or if fees remain unpaid more than 7 days after they’re due. We reserve the right to cancel your attendance at our sole discretion.
5. Your conduct
Participants are expected to behave reasonably and follow site regulations. If we consider, at our sole discretion, that your behaviour is unacceptable, we may ask you to leave a class immediately.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow us to limit it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or failing to meet the standards required by law. Please don’t bring items of special value to the premises or on any field trips – we can’t accept responsibility for lost personal possessions.
We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including pandemics and extreme weather.
7. Data protection & intellectual property
We use your personal information to provide the services you’ve booked and to send related information, unless you opt out. Data may be shared with external providers who support our services.
Any copyright in artwork you create during a class belongs to you from the moment of creation. By taking part, you grant us a licence to use images of that work (for example, in promotional materials).
8. General
We may update or suspend the website or our class offerings at any time. Please make sure any booking information you provide is accurate, and that you’re authorised to use the payment method given. We’re not responsible for the content of external websites we may link to. These terms also apply to gift voucher recipients and to any substitute attendees.
Notices should be sent to us at Trenbane House, Trenbane, Carndonagh, County Donegal, F93 HNR3, Ireland, or by email using the contact details on our website. By booking, you agree to cover us against claims arising from your own conduct. These terms are governed by Irish law.
9. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers can’t be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable. They’re valid for 12 months from the date of purchase; any unused balance is cancelled after that.
10. Right to decline
We may decline, change, or cancel a booking, even after full payment has been made. No refund applies if you’re asked to leave, or choose to leave, before a class ends.
11. Complaints
Please raise any complaint with us as soon as it arises. Not raising a complaint at the time may affect a later claim.
12. Accessibility
Please let us know about any physical or mental health needs before booking, so we can do our best to accommodate you. We reserve the right to decline a booking where we’re not able to meet a particular need.
