Nature’s Insurgence (fine art print)

Nature's Insurgence catches the incoming tide as it begins to take the shore back beneath an intense evening sky.

Water moves across the sand, filling channels and covering the marks left during the day. Above it, bands of blue, yellow and rose build in the sunset. Both sea and sky seem to be moving at once.

The title came from that sense of nature acting without reference to us. The tide returns because it returns; the sky burns with colour and then changes.

I wanted the painting to feel physical and unsettled - a shoreline being remade in front of you, the day flaring before it goes, and the sea beginning its cycle again.
