Pilgrim’s Soul 2 (fine art print)

Sometimes a walk gives you a moment you could never plan. The weather pauses, the light breaks through, and for a few minutes the whole landscape changes.

Heavy blue and purple clouds gathered overhead while a stream of pale-yellow light opened along the distant skyline.

The darker the cloud became, the brighter that strip of light seemed. Sea, sky and headland were briefly pulled into the same contrast.

Walking a coastal path makes you notice changes you might miss from a car: the direction of the wind, the movement of cloud, light travelling over water.

This painting remembers arriving at exactly the right moment, knowing the view would not last.
