Sand dunes and mirrored skies
On evenings when the air is still and the sun sets across Trawbreaga Bay (Irish: Trá Bhréige) and the Five Fingers Strand, the skim of water across this estuary or sea lough seems like glass reflecting the clouds above.
This is a more abstract approach to capturing a way of being in the landscape. The memories gathered of walking this strand throughout the year and in all weathers and put down in paint, the imagery reflective of how this place changes and shifts with its sand banks, bodies of sea rounded pebbles and sunken ship off the shore, which can be seen at a low tide.
